About Messy Cat Creations
Our Shop
A retail space displaying artwork and handmade items created exclusively by owners Andy and Kat. Handmade items include jewelry, hand painted silk scarves, crocheted hats, gloves, and scarves, fused glass sculptures, decorative items, handmade books and much more. Fine art includes linoleum block prints, mixed media, watercolor, custom pet portraits, and reproduction prints and stickers of original artwork. Working artist studio tours and art workshops are also available on site.
Our Artists
Andrea Atnip and Kathy Musser both graduated with BFA degrees from Murray State University (Kathy was industrious and also got an MBA). Kat focused on fiber arts and weaving and Andy chose painting as her final area of emphasis after jumping around among a few others. Both are interested in many different forms of art making and it shows in the many different types of artwork that they produce.
Our five(!) cats are the true inspiration for everything we do.
Our Space
We have our shop divided into three areas: the front section is the retail space featuring the many eclectic items created by Andy and Kat, the next portion is Kat's studio dominated by her painting and mixed media tables as well as her yarn rack (and her secret shelves that are dedicated to her Dungeons & Dragons DM materials), and the last is Andy's space that has her kiln, glass, wire, metal, tools, and things needed for linoleum block stamp carving and printing.
